Marketing and me…

Have just designed a couple of new postcards since my stocks are getting low. It’s a job that always takes me far longer than I anticipate because I love looking back over photo shoots and find it very hard to choose which shots to use. Here’s the first postcard…

And here’s the second which is aimed at expectant or new mums. You might be self conscious about having a portrait shoot done, but I treasure the photos of my pregnancy because it’s hard to remember what it was like and looking at them now, and at the photos of my daughter’s first few weeks really helps me to remember those magic – although sleep deprived – early days when all I really wanted to do was look at her. I can come to your home to take both maternity or newborn shots and we can take things at your own pace. I offer all sorts of packages or you can book each shoot separately. Or why not ask for a voucher for a portrait session as a gift? I also offer stickers or birth announcement cards. Please do get in touch if you’re considering a newborn or maternity shoot but you’re not sure what to expect.

A walk in the park…

A few more images from the spring from photo shoots in Bushy Park, Richmond Park and in the grounds of a local church where there were lots of daffodils growing. Just goes to show that there are all sorts of lovely backgrounds or places for portrait shoots just waiting on your doorstep…

Catching up…

Oh dear. Haven’t quite got to grips with regular blogging and tweeting, although it has provided me with a whole new vocabulary for use in the car when someone pulls out in front of me! Better to shout “Tweeting blogger!” with my eight-year-old in the back of the car than other, previously used, choice expressions…

Anyway, due to co-organising a huge royal wedding street party and all the work involved in that – it was a lovely day and Jeff Brazier and Channel Five came to film it – my own work has been squeezed around that so am now playing catch-up. Have lots of photos from lovely spring shoots that I’ll upload over the next few days. Oops – just typed years then instead. Freudian slip…

While I get organised with uploading photos from recent shoots though, here’s a token celeb shot of me in the throes of early-in-the-day street party anxiety, with the very lovely Jeff Brazier and my taking-it-all-in-her-stride daughter.royal wedding street party kingston upon thames

Introducing the Keepsake Album…

I’ve been waiting for the delivery of the new keepsake album that I created for some clients with a beautiful six-week-old baby girl. I did the photo shoot for them at the beginning of February and was very pleased with the results – helped by the fact that they are a very good looking family. Baby B was a joy to photograph – very calm and chilled out.

The keepsake albums come in their own little slipcase and are printed front and back. They open out like a concertina so you can either display them open on a mantelpiece or pop them in your bag and use them as a little boasting book. They are only available in quantities of three or more, but that makes them a perfect gift for grandparents – plus you can keep one for yourself. For further details please see my website www.sweetheartstudio.co.uk

Thanks again to the family of Baby B for letting me use the photos on my blog and website. xx
