One of the families booked in for a photo session this Saturday 29 October has had to reschedule so I now have one slot left for a ‘short and sweet’ photo session. Please see below for details. The other sessions got booked up really quickly so please do get in touch asap if you’re interested.

I’ve had a lot of lovely outdoor sessions lately and am really looking forward to my ‘Short and Sweet’ sessions this Saturday 29 October in Bushy Park. These sessions are great for families and will last 30 minutes (full portrait sessions usually last up to two hours). They cost £200 which includes the shoot, a selection of images from the day uploaded to a password-protected online gallery which will be live for seven days and your choice of five images as 8x6in prints and on DVD, all beautifully wrapped and presented. Some (very early) gift inspiration

keepsake photo albums, storyboard frame and canvases from Sweetheart StudioLike most children my 8-year-old daughter is technically savvy and has managed to find  a ‘countdown to Christmas’ app for my phone which reliably informs me that it’s only 73 days until Christmas. Scary biscuits. So – continuing with the festive theme of my blog posts this week – I thought I would upload a postcard that I designed a few weeks ago to show some of the products I offer to show off your beautiful images. If you book a shoot now your products will be back in time for Christmas. I’m getting booked up now for pre-Christmas shoots and the last shoot date for which I can guarantee Christmas delivery is 25 November so if you want some up-to-date family photos please get in touch now.

Christmas mini photo sessions…

Although Christmas still seems a long way off, especially with the bursts of warm weather we keep having, I just want to share the fact that due to postponing a portrait session and a change of plans for half-term I have scheduled some mini sessions that are perfect for getting some up-to-date family photos in time for the festive season… So if you’d like some beautiful images to give as gifts – or to treat yourself – please get in touch now as the sessions are already getting booked up.

The first is on Monday 24 October in Bushy Park when I will be running mini 15-minute sessions from 9am which will cost £20 (payable in advance when confirming your slot). Lots of mums who have tots at playgroup and children at preschool/school have asked if I could schedule something in for half term so that they can get photos of their children together so fingers crossed for dry weather – or bring your wellies (if it’s raining too heavily I will reschedule). The £20 session fee does not include any products. Please get in touch and I will email you a price list and details of the exact location. Newborn photography in Surbiton

Meet the very gorgeous baby Viola whom I had the pleasure of photographing a few months back. The session took place at home using natural light which is best for newborn photography because your little bundle of joy can feel warm, cosy and relaxed and there aren’t any flashes to startle her. Also, having your baby pictures taken at home means that nappy changes and feeding breaks are easy because you have everything to hand.

During a session I am happy to stop whenever your baby needs a feed, cuddle or nappy change. Viola was only a few weeks old at the time of the portrait session so was quite sleepy, but we got lots of beautiful photos. When she did wake up she revealed a pair of big blue eyes – and an adorable dimple in her cheek. Thanks to Viola’s proud mummy and daddy for asking me to take photos. Am looking forward to Viola’s 6-months-old session…

Baby photography in Kingston

Am a bit behind with blogging due to lots of work on so am playing catch up with posting photos from portrait sessions as far back as July. Have had lots since then which will post on my blog. Just thought I would make it easier for myself to do them in order… So here’s the first of many.

I had a lovely photo shoot back in July with the very beautiful baby Betsy who was very smiley and laidback. It was a pleasure to photograph her at six months old, especially since I had photographed her as a newborn. All the photos were taken inside using window light and Betsy sat and rolled around quite happily on her mummy and daddy’s bed for most of them. She was quite taken with Paddington Bear too…
